حامدکرزی رئیس جمهوری اسلامی افغانستان عصر امروز با پیتر مکی وزیر خارجه کشور کانادا در قصر گلخانه ملاقات نمود. ـ

به اساس معلومات دفتر مطبوعاتی ریاست جمهوری ،دراین ملاقات طرفین در رابطه اوضاع امنیتی منطقه، مبارزه علیه تروریزم و جریان بازسازی در افغانستان بحث و تبادل نظر نمودند. ـ

وزیر خارجه کانادا از تلاشهای خستگی ناپذیر دولت افغانستان در مبارزه با مواد مخدر تروریزم و فساد اداری حمایت کشورش را اعلام داشته و از مجاهدت دولت درین راستا تمجید نمود. ـ

 پیترمکی وزیر خارجه کانادا اطمینان داد که کشورش با دولت و مردم افغانستان به خاطر تامین امنیت ، توسعه بازسازی ، رشد اقتصادی و تجهیز و تقویت نیروهای امنیتی افغانستان به کمک های درازمدت خود تا زمانی ادامه خواهد داد که افغانستان به پای خود ایستاده شود . ـ

دراین ملاقات وزیر خارجه کانادا به خاطر تقویه نیروهای امنیتی افغانستان مساعدت ده ملیون دالر را اعلام نموده متعهد شد که ازطریق پروگرام همبستگی ملی در تمویل پروژه های قرضه های کوچک وزارت احیا و انکشاف دهات را یاری میرساند. ـ

حامدکرزی رئیس جمهور افغانستان از پیترمکی بخاطر مساعدت های دولت و مردم کانادا در عرصه های بازسازی و امنیت با مردم افغانستان ابراز امتنان نموده گفت : کانادا از جمله کشور های جهان میباشد که طی پانزده سال گذشته در عرصه های مختلف با ما مساعدت های زیادی نموده است ، که این مساعدت ها را مردم افغانستان هیچگاه فراموش نخواهند کرد . ـ

رئیس جمهور کشور افزود : پروسه اصلاحات پولیس ملی افغانستان به خوبی پیش میرود  و تلاش ما این است که نیروهای پولیس و اردوی ملی تقویه و اموزش مسلکی داده شوند . ـ

 بخاطر نیل به این هدف کمک جامعه بین المللی به کشور شما ضرورت است . تا انکه این نیروها به تنهایی بتوانند در برابر چالش های امنیتی مقابله نمایند. ـ

On January 07, President Hamid Karzai met Peter Mackay, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, at the Gul Khana Palace.

President Hamid Karzai and Foreign Minister Mackay discussed security in Afghanistan and the region, the fight against terrorism, and Afghanistan’s reconstruction.

Foreign Minister Mackay reassured President Hamid Karzai of the continuation of his country’s assistance to the fight against narcotics, terrorism, and corruption, and appreciated the Afghan Government's efforts in these fields.

Foreign Minister Mackay said, “Canada will continue assisting the Afghan people in ensuring security, accelerating reconstruction work, boosting the Afghan economy, and strengthening and equipping the Afghan security forces, until they are able to stand on their own feet.

Foreign Minister Mackay stated that Canada will donate an extra US$ 10 million for Afghanistan's Law and Order Trust Fund, and will further assist the micro-credit loan projects through the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development under the National Solidarity Programme (NSP).

President Hamid Karzai thanked Foreign Minister Mackay for the assistance of the people of Canada to the security and reconstruction of Afghanistan and said, “Canada is among the countries which has helped Afghanistan enormously in the past 5 years, and the Afghan people will never forget their generosity.”

“Police reform is well underway, however, Afghanistan needs the international community’s continued assistance for enabling the Afghan security forces in meeting the current challenges on their own.”
