According to the reports from Pakistani media, Officials from Pakistan in a meeting with some of the foreign ministers from NATO have stated that Taliban should be given political powers in Afghanistan and an allied government to be formed in Kabul and President Karzai may be excluded from that.
These expressions once more reveal the real intentions of Pakistani officials. The president and Afghan government officials have several times warned about the interference of Pakistan in this country and that Pakistan wants to bring its devotees back on the power and change Afghanistan to its strategic depth. |

در این صحبت تیلیفونی نخست رئیس جمهور کشور از پذیرای و استقبال گرمی که مردم و پارلمان کانادا درجریان سفر اخیرش از آنکشور به عمل آورده بودند، تشکر کرد و بخاطر کشته شدن دوتن از عساکر کانادایی که امروز د قندهار صورت گرفت، به صدارعظم کانادا و مردم آنکشور ابراز تسلیت و همدری نمود. ـ
سپس صدراعظم کانادا با تاکید بر ادامه کمک های کشورش از حمایت قوی خود از افغانستان در اجلاس سران سازمان ناتو در ریگا پایتتخت لتویا اطمینان داد. ـ
در این صحبت تیلیفونی دوجانب در مورد تقویت نهاد های افغانستان و بخصوص تسریع پروسه تقویت و تجهیز اردو و پولیس ملی نیز گفتگو و تاکید نمودند. ـ |

Arg, Kabul – H.E. Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, strongly condemned the terrorist attack that took place in Urgon district of Pakteka province this morning, killing 15 innocent civilians and wounding another 24.
According to news, the enemies of Afghanistan carried out a terrorist attack on a hotel in the bazaar of Urgon district of Pakteka province which killed 15 innocent civilians and wounding another 24. |

On November 24, President Hamid Karzai met with a number of community elders from across the country in the Presidential Palace.
At the meeting, on behalf of the participants, Sayed Mahmood Waez, read the resolution which was approved by more than 180 elders and scholars from 34 provinces after a two-day working session in Kabul.

Arg, Kabul - H.E. Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, chaired a special meeting today of the governors of all of the provinces of Afghanistan, which focused on the problem of narcotics and the counter-narcotics efforts of the Government of Afghanistan.
The President instructed the governors to take decisive action against poppy cultivation in their respective provinces, saying, “Lack of alternative livelihoods and compensation for destroyed poppy fields, as well as instability in some parts of the country must not be used as pretexts for not doing enough to eradicate poppy fields or enforcing the law. Afghanistan must totally rid itself of the menace of narcotics no matter what challenges there are that make it difficult for us. |
