Arg, Kabul – H.E. Hamid Karzai, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, strongly condemned the terrorist attack in the province of Kandahar.

This morning, the enemies of Afghanistan detonated a vehicle loaded With explosives in Kandahar while the Governor of Kandahar was passing, Killing 4 innocent civilians and injuring 13 others, but the Governor was safe.

In his reaction to the news the President said “Once again, the enemies Of peace and stability in Afghanistan tried to implement their subversive programmes by an attempt on the life of the young and diligent Governor of Kandahar province who has always made tireless and invaluable efforts to ensure the security and well-being of the people of Afghanistan and have raised his voice to foil the enemies’ heinous schemes and attempts, but did not succeed.”

“We have thousands of other youths like the Governor of Kandahar who Are working hard for the security and well-being of the people of Afghanistan.”

The President expressed his deepest sympathies and condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the full and speedy recovery of the injured.
