Afghanistan Embassy in Canada Expresses Condolences
June 15, 2009
Ottawa – The Embassy of Afghanistan in Canada extends heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Corporal Martin Dubé, who lost his life yesterday, alongside an Afghan Police officer, by an explosive device in the Kandahar Province of Afghanistan. The attack has also left an Afghan Interpreter severely injured.
We believe that the terrorists who attack our police officers and those who have come from the outside world to help Afghanistan are the enemies of the Afghan people.
The Afghan people are grateful to the people of Canada for their support and friendship together with other members of the international community. We depend on this friendship in order to overcome security challenges within Afghanistan and beyond, and to provide a better future for our children.
