بمناسبت تجلیل از سال نو 1387 و همچنان مولود شریف پیامبر گرامی اسلام (ص) محافل باشکوهی با .اشتراک صدها تن از هموطنان از جانب افغانهای مقیم کانادا در شهرهای مختلف ترتیب یافته بود
به همین مناسبت جناب عمر صمد سفیر جمهوری اسلامی افغانستان در کانادا بروز جمعه مورخ 21 مارچ در محفلی که از جانب اتحادیۀ جوانان افغان شامل محصلین پوهنتون های کارلتون و اوتاوا در شهر اوتاوا ترتیب یافته بود اشتراک نموده، ضمن ایراد بیانیۀ شان این دو مناسبت میمون و خجسته را به .همۀ .هموطنان عزیز اخصاً حاضرین در مجلس تبریک و شادباش گفتند
همچنین بروز شنبه 22 مارچ 2008 آقایان غلام سخی اتمر مستشار و محمد ولی بلوچزاده سکرتر اول سفارت در محفل تجلیل از این روز که از جانب انجمن فرهنگی اتحادیۀ افغانهای مقیم کیوبک در شهر مونتریال تدویر یافته بود اشتراک نمودند. آقای اتمر به نمایندگی از سفارتکبرای جمهوری اسلامی افغانستان در کانادا ضمن ایراد سخنانی فرارسیدن سال نو و همچنین مولود شریف را به حاضرین در مجلس تبریک .-گفت. |

Ottawa – Afghan Ambassador Omar Samad spoke at the opening ceremony of the 6 th Annual Canadian International Model United Nations Conference held in Ottawa Wednesday evening.
Highlighting the various challenges currently facing Afghanistan on the security, political, development and governance fronts, the Afghan ambassador shared his views with more than 500 university and college students from across Canada and around the world, and at the end took questions from the audience.

Ottawa – During a week-long visit to Canada, H.E. S. Ibrahim Adel, Afghanistan’s Minister of Mines, attended the annual Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) in Toronto and then paid a working visit to Ottawa, where he met Canadian officials and discussed the growth potential of the mining sector in Afghanistan. |

Ottawa – Members of the first Afghan parliamentary delegation visiting Canada, SAFIA SEDIQI (Nangarhar), FAWZIA KOOFI (Badakhshan), FARIBA AHMADI KAKAR (Kandahar), SAFURA ELKHANI (Bamyan), NASIMA NIAZI (Helmand) and SABRINA SAQIB (Kabul), spent a week in Ottawa meeting with Canadian officials, parliamentarians, NGOs, media and community representatives.

Ottawa – Six women members of the Lower House of the Afghan National Assembly arrived in Ottawa on Sunday, March 2 on a working visit that will include meeting with Canadian Parliamentarians, government officials and non-governmental organizations.
The delegation was welcomed by the Honourable Helena Guergis, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, and Afghan Ambassador Omar Samad.
Members of the first Afghan parliamentary delegation to visit Canada are SAFIA SEDIQI (Nangarhar), FAWZIA KOOFI (Badakhshan), FARIBA AHMADI KAKAR (Kandahar), SAFURA ELKHANI (Bamyan), NASIMA NIAZI (Helmand) and SABRINA SAQIB (Kabul).
During their stay in Canada, the Afghan parliamentarians will participate in various functions and take part in a week-long program provided by the Parliamentary Center, funded by the the International Development Research Centre, with cooperation from the International Centre for Human Rights and Democratic Development.
