5. Feb. 16 - Amb. Samad talks at the opening of the HPIC medical distribution center in Toronto. Prime Minister Stephen Harper opens the center and HPIC commits to delivering up to $4 million worth of medicine donated by pharmaceutical companies to Afghanistan.
6. Feb. 26 - At a special event on Parliament Hill, Prime Minister Stephen Harper announces an additional allocation of $200 million for Afghanistan’s development and reconstruction for 2007. Amb. Samad thanks Canada and the Government of Prime Minister Harper for their continued support.
7. Feb. 27 – Mrs. Samad talks to students about Afghan women’s conditions at Ashbury College.
