The Afghan envoy meets with 12 year-old Farhat Farid, an Afghan-Canadian student who has initiated to raise funds to dig water wells in Kabul for needy people. Amb. Samad praised her concern and promised to assist her project.

At the invitation of H.E. David Wilkins, Ambassador of the United States to Canada, the Afghan envoy attends a service of remembrance on the fourth anniversary of September 11 at the US Embassy attended by H.E. Prime Minister Paul Martin and other dignitaries.
